RED Team

Agency RED brings together a highly diversified and multidisciplinary team of professionals who work very closely with all involved stakeholders, from members of civil society or armed forces, beneficiaries of aid programmes in marginalised communities to representatives of public administration, or international organisations and private companies. All our work is geared to ensure the most holistic approach is applied to each project, at every stage.

Director – Development Aid

With over a decade of experience in the fields of sustainability and development, Charlotte has been engaged in strategic, technical and operational aspects of many development projects, especially focused on marginalised urban communities. She has been attached to large international organisations including the the European Investment Bank, the French Red Cross and the French Development Agency. Charlotte also worked with Lafarge Holcim International to develop inclusive business solutions, adapting to the needs of emerging markets.
A joint degree graduate in Political Science and Law from the Lyon University of France, she obtained Master’s level qualifications at the La Sorbonne Institute of Urban Planning, Paris and French National Administration School (ENA) in Urban Development and Risk Prevention & Resilience respectively. Promoting participative and inclusive stakeholders engagement, Charlotte always works with various stakeholders, from civil societies to national and local administration representatives.

Laurent launched his career as a Jurist specialising in social and labour law in 1995 and has since been affiliated initially with French corporates and soon with leading global organisations engaged in the fields of resilience and civil military issues. These include the UN-Habitat (UNHSP), the International Rescue Committee (IRC), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO – the European Commission’s department for overseas humanitarian aid and civil protection), Doctors of the World, Action Against Hunger, Mission East, the World Food Programme (WFP) and the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO). During this time Laurent received in-depth exposure in crisis mediation, alleviation of human suffering and international aid across many countries including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, China, India and the Central African Republic.
A Public Law graduate from the Université d’Aix-Marseille, Laurent holds a second Bachelor’s qualification in Political Science and a Master’s qualification in Labor and Social Law from Faculté de Droit & Science Politique. He has also held a number of prominent memberships as a former board member of the SPHERE project, the Civil Military Coordination Working Group for Afghanistan, and as the former Chairman of both the Civil Military Coordination Working Group and Humanitarian Donor Group for Afghanistan.

Director RED France

Successively resident representative of AFD in Sri Lanka, then for the Caribbean states and administrator of Agence Française de Développement, Grégory has 23 years’ experience in public development policies and infrastructure projects linked to the Sustainable Development Goals. Previously an analyst and strategist in an asset management company, he is now a consultant in public intelligence and business optimization. He joined RED in 2023.

Communication, Community Engagement, and Accountability Specialist

Louise is a seasoned communication professional with 13 years of experience in the humanitarian sector. Her humanitarian work has taken her Kenya, Lebanon, India, Haiti, and, most recently, Thailand, where she served as a regional media adviser and spokesperson for the International Committee of the Red Cross’ operations in Asia-Pacific. She has also ample experience in community and stakeholder engagement, having spearheaded the Canadian Red Cross’s community engagement efforts for the Haiti earthquake urban recovery program.

Louise’s humanitarian work fueled her interest in contested spaces within post-conflict urban environments, which led her do a Master’s in “Cities” at University of the Arts, London. Her thesis focused on urban vacancy and the role of – and right to – public space in Beirut, Lebanon. She complemented her master’s with a certificate in Sustainability and Environment from the London School of Economics to better grasp the overarching challenges posed by climate change within urban environments. Louise will leverage her experience in communication and stakeholder engagement at Agency Red in view of furthering social justice in urban planning, and sustainable city making.

Louise will continue to develop her personal practice by exploring cities through participatory urbanism, narrative urban design, and urban ethnography.

Sowmya is currently immersed in the pursuit of her Master’s in Management at ESSEC, specializing in Strategy Consulting. Her journey in the corporate realm began at Deloitte, where she served as a Consultant, offering technical expertise to Fortune 500 clients. Passionate about making a positive impact, Sowmya has dedicated her time to the cause of childcare and education in India, showcasing her commitment to identifying stakeholders and successfully spearheading fundraising initiatives.

In her quest for excellence, Sowmya has recently joined RED as a Strategy Analyst, bringing her wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the forefront. Her focus on Urban Development and Sustainability reflects a keen awareness of pressing global challenges and a dedication to contributing solutions that transcend conventional boundaries.
